The energetic and precise ensemble of Matthew & Gunnar Nelson - Acoustic Duo performed a wide variety of music, making it always a pleasure to see them. The highlight of the night was when the band sang “Goodnight Irene” as the first song of their encore, especially when accompanied by Francine Reed. The venue was very nice, with good weather and nice seats, but the outdoor arena did allow for some extraneous, loud noises to be heard above the performance, which was a minor distraction at times. This, of course, was in reference to Hurricane Irene that was creeping up the east coast at the time of this concert and subsequently caused the cancellation of Matthew & Gunnar Nelson - Acoustic Duo’s next show in NJ.
